Floating Cities can
levitate to a geosynchronos orbit, move across the earth, leave orbit or link to a ground
base. The living spaces are under the dome and all utility and waste management
systems hang down underneath. These evolved from some chunk of earth I saw on a
Boston album cover back in 1978. I started by adding dome cities to the top of the
land chunks and then eventually the land disappeared and only the domes remained.
Other cities I designed were supported by a large arm-like structure and looked similar to
a desk lamp. My floating cities took their final form in the very early eighties and
